Good Things Happen In III's

As the weather heats up and sweatshirts give way to cut-offs, what better way to kick of summer than with three sick new slabs of wax? Summer ‘07 marks the first wave of releases from Livewire’s “Back From the Dead” era. Let’s get it started:
First off, Bold. As most of you know, last year marked the return of Bold, one of New York Hardcore’s legendary bands from the late 80’s Revelation Records era of New York Hardcore. The new, yet to be titled release, will feature three brand new songs from the “rebirth” line-up featuring members Matt Warnke on Vocals, Tom Capone on Guitar, Tim Brooks on Bass, and newcomer Vinny Panza on skins. All three songs were debuted on stage, this 7” feature studio recordings and is sure to leave fans hungry for more! Expect a poster with the 7”!
Next up: Over The Line. Yup, that Over The Line. A little chunk from the band’s biography explains how the new material is finally seeing the light of day:
The Over The Line demo slipped into the hands of a limited number of people in February 1997, created a quick, whispered-about buzz that was followed up by a few spur-of-the-moment live sets, and just when dudes were hoping for a follow-up release or tour dates, it was deaded.
Fast forward two years, and it really wasn’t dead at all. In fact, an altered line-up was born, practices were scheduled and new songs were written. Whereas the demo was influenced by the thanks list of “We’re Not In The Alone,? new songs hinted of Absolution, Raw Deal, and Cro-Mags inspired riffs and breakdowns. Around the same time, Crucial Response pressed the demo onto vinyl and it looked like Over The Line had the perfect opportunity to get back into the swing of things. But with band members now living all over the place, the songs were again shelved.
This yet to be titled 7” features these songs—recorded at Gradwell House Studios in Spring ‘07. Stop back here very soon to check out the band’s page and to here a sample track from their upcoming 7”, currently in production.
And finally—Triple Threat, Live at CBGB 7”. A sample from the liner notes written by TT’s vocalist Tim McMahon sums up the reason for the live record: So there it was, August 19th 2006 with H20. We climbed up on that stage for the last time and gave it our all. It was bitter sweet because the show went smoothly, we played well, we had a good time and then when our set was finished, we walked off that stage like we had just said our goodbyes to an old friend. The following month I found myself at CB’s for the final date of the Gorilla Biscuits reunion tour. To play CB’s one last time as a band and then to go to a show at CB’s, one last time as a fan, seemed like a fitting closure.
So yo…we are working hard to bust everything out. Stay tuned. —xxx
