Straight out of the crumbling streets of Philadelphia, PA blasts a vital force poised to breath life into the all to ineffectual world of popular music. Combining the song writing brilliance of bands like Fairweather with the art-rock sensibilities of Coldplay, Kill Verona has managed to produce some of the most powerful and original material in the history of that ultra-rare breed of music that obliterates demographic and genre boundaries.
Formed in February of 2000 by Wes, Mike, Paul, and Jessie Clark. The band began writing songs in Wes’ filthy basement in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia. Despite the dirt and Wes’ dog pissing on all the equipment, Kill Verona finally managed to assemble a set and play their first show in March of 2000. A few months later, George joined the band to play 2nd guitar, giving the band the full sound they were looking for. Having already played a ton of successful dates on the Warped Tour and Surf and Skate Festival, Kill Verona is at once, shocked and delighted by the overwhelmingly positive responses they have received thus far and have amassed a tremendous fan-base in the years since their unsanitary inception.
The sheer quality and emotion of Kill Verona’s music simply cannot ignored. The band’s latest release, “Trauma” The follow up to the band’s first Livewire Release, “Little League” is guaranteed to turn heads en masse. Six songs of driving rock and roll set alight by a flawless rhythm section, unharnessed guitar insanity, and emotive vocals.
Confirming the notion that rock and roll music knows no boundaries and is limitless in its capacity Kill Verona transcends classification and thrives on merit alone.
