DAMAGE CONTROL

The Damage Control formula is one that has been tried and tested over the last two decades. What separates them from others in the genre, is the ability to combine two different inspirational sources from traditional hardcore. Some have compared Damage Control to west-coast bands like Uniform Choice and Chain Of Strength, while others use Youth Of Today and even Dag Nasty to describe the sound. Instead of dismissing these comparisons, Damage Control prides themselves on being included in such a diverse musical heritage.

Straight Edge is and always be a huge motivation behind Damage Control’s existence. All band members embrace this lifestyle, and have chosen to live without the influence of drugs and alcohol. In the belief that clear minds and positive thinking is the key to solving problems (both personal and world-scale), Damage Control expresses these views through their lyrics.

The “Can’t Keep Us Down” MCD/7” was recorded shortly after the band’s first tour, and released the following spring on Crucial Response Records. With two European tours under their belt, Damage Control headed for the US to conquer new ground in February 2003. Touring the East Coast with The First Step enabled Damage Control to play some incredible shows, and introduced their music to an eager new audience. Recording and more touring is what lies in the immediate future for Damage Control so be sure to stay tuned!
